Elementary Orchestra and Band classes Classes usually begin in September and are taught at the junior highs or at the elementary schools. The classes are free, but you will need to provide an instrument and the music book.
Summer Band Classes are taught in the summer for 4 weeks, Monday thru Friday, for 45 minutes. There is a small class fee plus the cost of instrument rental and the purchase of the music book.

Elementary Arts Experiences Elementary students are offered a chance for a cultural arts experience. Experiences from past years include: “The Jungle Book”, Idaho Falls Symphony performing “The Nutcracker”, and “The Ant and the Elephant”. As always, the 6th graders have the privilege of attending the district musical matinee performance.
5th Grade Patriotic Program 5th graders in the district practice and perform a patriotic centered concert. The program is usually held in March each school year
District Musical Auditions are held in December and practices start in January with the performance usually in March or April. It is open to all junior high and high school students in district #91
Missoula Children’s Theater The Missoula Children's Theatre provides a week-long residency "starring" 50-60 of District 91 students in a full-scale musical. Auditions are open to all district students in grades 1 - 12. Once selected they are cast and well rehearsed throughout the week, learning lines, songs and choreography to perform as an ensemble in producing a full-length musical. The shows from Missoula Children's Theater are original adaptations of children's stories and fairytales. There is no participation fee and it is usually held in the fall. |
