One District, One Book Starts Feb. 6
Because of the school closures, D91's One District, One Book, our districtwide book club, is being rescheduled for Feb. 6-24. Elementary schools will hold kick-off assemblies next week and then the youngest elementary school child in every family will bring home a copy of this year's title along with a reading calendar. If you can't read together, check out our ODOB page for audio recordings you can listen to on the go. We'll also post the daily trivia questions, and the answers to the previous day's question. Research shows reading aloud together for just 15 minutes a day improves reading skills so let's read together and create a community of readers!

STOPit Expands To Busses
D91 has expanded its anonymous reporting system to its fleet of school busses. Students and parents can now use the system to report safety concerns such as bullying to threats of violence 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Concerns can be reported through STOPit in the D91 App, through a link on school and district websites, a direct link on all student Chromebook devices or via a telephone hotline at (855) 999-0932. Just search for Idaho Falls Transportation and share your concern. -

Inspiring Kids To Go On
D91 is proud to partner with Idaho Business for Education and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco on the new Within Reach program, which highlights the importance and value of a postsecondary education, whether it’s an apprenticeship or a 4-year degree. The power of the new Within Reach program is working with businesses to connect with parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles in the workplace, and highlight the importance of students “going on” after high school.
