Program Information:
This course will introduce students to the basics of welding and fabrication. Students can become proficient in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding processes. By the end of the 3rd trimester, students will be qualified welders, capable of passing welding certifications in industry. Students will learn about all processes used in metal fabrication. They will receive instruction on designing and laying out of material to be welded, blueprint reading, measuring and fundamental welding applications. This course is designed to provide students with an environment that promotes teamwork, problem solving, diagnostics, designing, repairing, fabricating, and building to industry standards.
Available Certifications:
Workplace Readiness, OSHA General Forklift Driver, and OSHA Ten Hour.
