D91's child nutrition staff works diligently to provide our students and staff with healthy, nutritious, and low-cost or free meals that meet the latest state and federal nutrition guidelines. The department consists of cooks, kitchen staff, servers, cashiers, warehouses, drivers, and a menu planner that prepares, serves, and delivers about 4,600 lunches and 1,000 breakfasts every school day.

Whether it’s crafting balanced menus, ensuring the timely delivery of ingredients, or serving delicious meals, every role is essential to keeping our students well-nourished and ready to learn.

Eligibility for Free or Reduced-Price Meals

Your child may qualify for free or reduced-price meals under the following
circumstances:

Food

Household Benefits:

Children in households receiving Idaho Food Stamps (SNAP), the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), or Temporary Assistance for Families in Idaho (TAFI) are eligible for free meals.

Foster Children:

Foster children under the legal responsibility of a foster care agency or court qualify for free meals. Court documentation must be provided with the application.

Head Start Program:

Children participating in their school’s Head Start program are eligible for free meals.

Special Circumstances:

Children who meet the legal definition of homeless, runaway, or migrant are eligible for free meals.

Household Income:

Children may qualify for free or reduced-price meals if the household income is at or below the limits set by the Federal Income Eligibility Guidelines.

How to Access the Free and Reduced Meal Application

To apply for free or reduced meals, follow these steps:

Digit two

If you do not already have an account, click on the person icon in the upper-right corner and select Register. If you already have an account, click Login.

Digit three

Once logged in, click on the pancake menu (three horizontal lines) in the upper-left corner.

Digit four

Select Free and Reduced Meal Application from the menu.

Para solicitar comidas gratis o a precio reducido, siga estos pasos:
