Highly Qualified Teacher
Ensuring Excellence in Every Classroom
At Idaho Falls School District 91, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards for our educators. Federal law requires that school districts receiving Title I funds notify parents that they have the right to request information about the professional qualifications of their child’s teacher(s). We believe in transparency, accountability, and ensuring students receive instruction from highly qualified educators who are fully prepared to support their learning journey.
Your Right to Know
As a parent of a student attending a Title I-funded school, you have the right to ask:
Is my child’s teacher licensed to teach the assigned grades and subjects?
Is my child’s teacher on a provisional license, meaning the state has waived certain requirements?
What is my child’s teacher’s college major?
What degrees or certifications does my child’s teacher hold?
Have Questions?
If you would like more information about your child’s teacher qualifications, please contact your school directly. Our commitment is to provide highly skilled, knowledgeable, and dedicated educators who ensure every student receives a quality education.
