Where Does Our Funding Come From?
1. State Funding
The primary source of funding for D91 comes from Idaho’s general fund, which is generated by the state sales tax. These funds are allocated to school districts based on a formula that includes the number of students who attend school each day.
Restricted Funds: Some state funding is designated for specific uses, such as classroom technology, and cannot be used for other expenses like teacher salaries or textbooks.
2. Federal Funding
The district also receives funding from the federal government, which is earmarked for specific programs, including:
Child Nutrition
Services for Economically Disadvantaged Children
Support for Migrant Families
Programs for Children with Special Needs
These funds are restricted to their intended programs and cannot be used for other purposes.
