Technology Donation Guidelines
"Supporting Education Through Technology Donations"
At Idaho Falls School District #91, we appreciate your generosity in wanting to donate technology to support our students and educators. To ensure all donated equipment can be effectively used, maintained, and supported, we have guidelines in place to determine if your equipment meets the district’s needs.
If your item meets the standards listed below, please contact your local school or the district office at (208) 525-7500 to discuss the donation process.
Why Standardization Matters
To streamline support, reduce maintenance costs, and ensure compatibility with district systems, we follow standard purchasing procedures when acquiring new technology. The district primarily uses HP and Apple computers and HP laser printers, as these brands align with our IT infrastructure.
Donations that meet our minimum technology standards allow us to integrate devices seamlessly into classrooms and offices while ensuring reliable technical support and repairs by district personnel.

The district reserves the right to determine the cost-effectiveness of maintaining and repairing donated equipment before acceptance.
Software Donation Guidelines
All software donations must include the original license(s) and media from the publisher.
The software must be applicable to district curriculum and cannot be an outdated version where the donor has kept an upgraded version.
Donations that violate copyright agreements will not be accepted.
