Prepares students to pursue health-related degrees and professions in one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy. Students begin their course of study with Human Anatomy and Physiology, which is highly recommended as the junior science course and Health Occupations. Students can then choose between the Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician or Pharmacy Technician in Training programs or a science/math course of study. English is included as an option so the class is a ½ day to provide time for internship and clinical experience. Students have the option to participate in HOSA, the student organization, the membership dues are $25.00.
- Nursing Assistant 3 trimesters – 2 hour block Grades 11, 12
- E.M.T. Basic 3 trimesters – 2 hour block Grades 11, 12
- Pharmacy Tech in Training 3 trimesters – 2 hour block Grades 11, 12
- Occ Experience – Health Professions Optional Work Experience Grades 11, 12
Students also complete industry-mentored work-based learning experience and can earn industry certification and college credit.
