OUR SCHOOLS

 Fostering Excellence Across Every Level

Idaho Falls School District 91 serves the educational needs of over 10,000 students in 19 schools, located in the heart of Idaho Falls. The district is committed to providing high-quality education across 12 elementary schools, two middle schools, and five high schools, each offering unique learning opportunities tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students.

Career and Technical
Education (CTE)

Among the district’s five high schools is the D91 Career Technical Education (CTE) Center, which provides students with practical, hands-on training in a variety of high-demand career fields. Students can earn certifications and prepare for careers in industries such as cybersecurity, law enforcement, firefighting, nursing, automotive mechanics, construction, welding, and computer programming, among others. The CTE Center helps students build essential skills for their future careers, offering a pathway to both employment and higher education.

Magnet Schools: Compass Academy

Compass Academy is a magnet high school within District 91 that offers a distinctive educational experience through Project-Based Learning (PBL). Students at Compass Academy tackle complex, real-world challenges by engaging in collaborative, hands-on projects. This method integrates various subjects and promotes critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills, equipping students with the tools they need to succeed in both college and the workforce. With a focus on innovation and inquiry-based learning, Compass Academy provides an enriching alternative to the traditional high school model.

The schools are steeped in tradition, and each fosters a vibrant school spirit and sense of community.

One of the highlights of the school year is the Emotion Bowl, the annual football game between Idaho Falls High School and Skyline High School. This intense rivalry has garnered national recognition, being featured in media outlets as one of the top high school football rivalries in the United States. The Emotion Bowl is more than just a game—it’s a celebration of school pride, drawing enthusiastic crowds from across the community.
