Idaho Issues Stay-at-Home Order

Last week we shared D91’s plans to roll out remote learning for students beginning April 6. The importance of this work has been made very clear in the last 48 hours as the state has acted to try and slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus. On March 23, the State Board of Education ordered schools to do a “soft closure” of all classroom facilities until April 20. Schools were directed to continue providing essential services like food services. Today, Gov. Brad Little issued a statewide stay-at-home order, which will be in effect for 21 days. Our Grab ‘n Go meal service is considered an essential service so we will continue providing meals Monday through Friday until further notice. Our instructional staff is continuing the monumental task of identifying key content- and grade-level standards that need to be covered by the end of the school year, and determining the best way to deliver those lessons. Watch for more information next week. Read Full Statement March 25. More Information about COVID-19.
