Celebrating CTE Month!
It's Career Technical Education Month, and we're celebrating D91's CTE programs, which now include 16 different pathways, from Animal Veterinary Science to welding, and everything in between. With the district's new stand-alone Career Technical Education Center, students have more choices than ever, and most programs allow students to earn college credits and industry certifications, as well as gain real-world practical experience through internships. Check out all our CTE offerings beginning on Page 1 of the High School Course Catalog or call your high school counselor.
One District, One Book Will Start Feb. 6
Because of the school closures, D91's One District, One Book, our districtwide book club, is being rescheduled for Feb. 6-24. Elementary schools will hold kick-off assemblies next week and then the youngest elementary school child in every family will bring home a copy of this year's title along with a reading calendar. If you can't read together, check out our ODOB page for audio recordings you can listen to on the go. We'll also post the daily trivia questions, and the answers to the previous day's question. Research shows reading aloud together for just 15 minutes a day improves reading skills so let's read together and create a community of readers!
